Not a bad early reader. In fact, I'll bet kids would enjoy it. I, however, as an extremely boring adult-type, could not get over the grossness factor when they were talking about frosted fish sticks. I'm sorry, but fish sticks and frosting? Gag! The rest of the story was cute enough, but the ending......more

Splat the Cat is having a rough day because of the rain. This story makes as much use of the -ai- in words as possible to teach that vowel combination to new readers. The story is a little silly, but very relatable to anyone who has ever had their plans or desires thwarted by rain.......more
