Synopsis

The book is a classic Golden Age mystery, known for its witty dialogue, complex plot, and the introduction of the eccentric but brilliant Mrs. Bradley, who uses her psychological insights to solve the crime.

Maybe the series improves—it would not be hard. The plot moves in circles rather than having twists. None of the characters—including Mrs. Bradley—are very well developed or likable. Just goes to show that all wasn’t gold in the ‘Golden Age’.......more
