This book was a pretty enjoyable read, but towards the end it took an odd turn. I can’t explain how the problem of this book is ultimately solved - spoilers - but it does raise questions about Stevenson’s attitude to crime and vengeance. Apart from that, a typical Scottish romance. Wonderful escapism.......more
