Synopsis

Another Oz book! Yes! Lots of unlikely characters and tons of fun. In this story, young King Randy of Regalia is visited by his old friend, Kabumpo, the Elegant Elephant of Pumperdink. Together, they set out to visit their friend Jinnicky the Red Jinn in the Land of Ev.. On the way, they meet Planetty, the silver Princess from Anuther Planet, and her fire-breathing colt, Thun. When they reach Jinnicky's palace, they find that Jinnicky has been deposed and enchanted by an untrustworthy slave.

About Ruth Plumly Thompson

Ruth Plumly Thompson (27 July 1891 - 6 April 1976) was a children's author. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she sold her first story to St. Nicholas Magazine, a monthly children's magazine, while still in high school. After publishing her first book, The Perhappsy Chaps, she was asked to continue the Oz series following L. Frank Baum's death. Beginning in 1921, she wrote one Oz book a year through 1939; after writing two more in 1972 and 1976, she had contributed 21 new Oz books to the series.
