About The Author

Paul David Tripp (DMin, Westminster Theological Seminary) is a pastor, an award-winning author, and an international conference speaker. He has written numerous books, including Lead; Parenting; and the bestselling devotional New Morning Mercies. His not-for-profit ministry exists to connect the transforming power of Jesus Christ to everyday life. Tripp lives in Philadelphia with his wife, Luella, and they have four grown children.

There are some really good principles in this book, but I got really bogged down in the extreme repetitiveness of it. It felt like Tripp took the same material and wrote it 10 different times with slightly different contexts/themes to come up with 10 chapters. Honestly, only about 2-3 chapters worth......more

I always enjoy Tripp’s books. He seems to follow a pretty simple writing formula that puts a lot of emphasis on repetition.
