Synopsis

In the land of towering mountains and howling winds, the young man named Preacher has found a home. In the wilds, he has learned the rules of survival—and he has killed in order to live.

Now, something is forcing Preacher out of his Rocky Mountain range for the so-called “civilized” world. It is the memory of a woman, his first and only true love. It is her blood calling out for revenge.

The murder's deadly trail will lead Preacher from St. Louis eastward, with a stopover at his childhood home. But even the rekindled fire of family won't detain Preacher from his pursuit and soon he'll arrive at the site of his blood vengeance: Philadelphia Pennsylvania—the city of Brotherly Love.

But even the best laid plans of mice and mountain men often go awry...

Nice but disappointing Nice retrospective on Preacher's early life but the extensive reprinting from earlier work seemed a little much and disappointing- would have preferred condensed references to the past and more originality to the story being told in this book.......more

Also the woman Jennie was killed in St. Lewis and at one point it was said New York. Nothing else in the book even mentioned New Y......more

I enjoy Johnstone's books, especially the "Preacher" ones, and I believe that this is second or third one that I have finished. He always provides you with a group of outstanding characters, that are well developed through out the book. His chase for justice for Jenny in this volume is one that you......more
