Kwame Alexander is a poet, a speaker, an educator, and a bestselling author of more than twenty books, including The Crossover, which was awarded the 2015 Newbery Medal. About MacLeod Andrews

MacLeod Andrews was born and raised in Louisville, KY. He is a Company Member of Rising Phoenix Rep Theater Company, with whom he has performed in a number of productions Off-Broadway, as well as West Coast, New York, and World Premieres. He leads a double-life as an award winning audiobook narrator. Currently resides in Los Angeles.

About Ron Butler

Ron Butler is a Los Angeles based actor who works regularly as a commercial and animation voiceover artist and an audiobook narrator. A member of the Atlantic Theater Company, he has over a hundred film and television credits to his name and won an Independent Filmmaker Project Award for his work in the HBO film Everyday People.

About Ekua Holmes

Ekua Holmes is an artist whose work explores themes of family, relationships, hope, and faith. The first children's book she illustrated was Carole Boston Weatherford's Voice of Freedom: Fannie Lou Hamer, which was a Caldecott Honor Book and a Robert F. Sibert Honor Book and for which she won the John Steptoe New Talent Illustrator Award. She lives in Boston.
