Ah yes, the feminine urge to make creatures. Very gorey but in a wholesome way, if you know what I mean. If you've read The Book of Lost Things this story may ring a bell, but Connolly's was straight out of a nightmare, and the vibes for this one are completely different.......more

Tinkering comes to mind when someone says fairies. Kingfisher puts the little wing flappers to work, overnight inside a slaughterhouse; piecing together scraps from animals and bringing them to life to roam the streets. The attempted murder scene is a laughing stock. Recommended Listening!......more
