Synopsis

The unexpected responsibility of caring for her autistic brother during her summer in Paris turns out to be just the adventure that Clara needed. Growing up in the shadow of a famous mother, Clara has never felt good about her body. Now, at sixteen, she has an unhealthy obsession with healthy eating. After a social media disaster, she decides to escape for the summer to Paris to stay with her estranged dad and her six-year-old brother, Alastair, who is on the autism spectrum. Charged with his care, Clara and Alastair set out to explore the city. Paris, and a handsome young French baker, teaches Clara about first love, and a new love of food. And Alastair teachers Clara about patience, trust, and the beauty of loving without judgment.

About Jennifer Gold

Jennifer Gold believes love is sweet and life is messy, which is probably why she has a passion for writing about the relationships of career-focused women. Having grown up on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington, Gold has a deep appreciation for the orcas, humpbacks, seals, and other marine wildlife that inhabit the Puget Sound and beyond. When she’s not writing books, Gold can be found cleaning horse stalls, drinking coffee, and spending time with her husband and two cats. Find out more at http://jennifergoldauthor.com.

I really liked this! My only issue with this book was the fact that it didn't seem polished enough, if you know what I mean. I did get an ARC of it, so maybe the official copies won't be like that, but I feel like an ARC shouldn't be like that either. The story is still fantastic and I loved the fac......more

On the Spectrum was amazing! I love the positive and accurate representations in this book, including autism representation and eating disorder representation.
