Synopsis

"So wherever I am, there's always Pooh, There's always Pooh and Me." Filled with gentle humor and playful rhythms, this delightful collection of poetry captures the simple joys, adventure, and heartfelt innocence of a child's tender years. Christopher Robin, Winnie the Pooh, and all of their friends show that there is still much magic to be found in the world, even in the simplest things. This poetry for children covers a wide range of subjects and emotions. Do not be misled by the title of the book, as A. A. Milne states in his introduction "the name of the book doesn’t mean that this is us being six all the time, but that it is about as far as we’ve got at present". As always, Mr. Milne's poetry has rhymes with meter and rhythm that are pleasing to both children and adults.Knowing how important language development is to success in school, educator AnnaLisa Bodtker created alenbeebooks. Audiobooks enhance listening skills, increase vocabulary, and allow children to enjoy books above their reading levels. Alenbeebooks selects well written stories and poems, that are narrated in an engaging manner, to promote good language skills.copyright 2025 (P) alenbeebooksAnnaLisa Bodtker is the narrator of the popular audiobooks When We Were Very Young, Kitty-Cat Tales, Christmas in the Forest, and Brownie in Christmas Land. For more quality audiobooks, please visit www.alenbeebooks.com.

I read these at lunch and maybe I was in the wrong headspace for this, but I wasn't so impressed by them. I felt they were either too silly or the verse wa......more

Like When We Were Very Young, this is also a terrific compilation. I love it when an adult can see through a child's eyes without losing his "adult-ness". Milne's poetry is simple and beautiful, and his humour can be enjoyed by adults and children alike. Christopher Robin and Winnie-the-Pooh need no......more

This and the previous volume When We Were Very Young has reconfirmed my faith both in enduring literature (enjoyed by adults and children alike) and in poetry: it has rhythm, rhymes and tells a story and isn't just a string of words apparently meaninglessly stringed together. Perhaps the reason I en......more
