About Joseph Badal

Joseph Badal, a former US Army officer and senior finance executive, is the author of several award–winning works of suspense, including novels in the Bob Danforth saga, the Cycle of Violence series, and the Lassiter/Martinez Case Files series, among others. He has twice won the Tony Hillerman Prize for Best Fiction Book of the Year, and the Military Writers Society of America awarded him its gold medal in 2016 for Death Ship, its silver medal in 2016 for Terror Cell, and its silver medal in 2015 for Evil Deeds. The Lone Wolf Agenda earned the New Mexico/Arizona Book Award for top mystery/thriller novel of 2013. He has also published short stories, writes a monthly blog titled “Everyday Heroes,” and has had articles published in business and trade journals. He has earned numerous military decorations and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees. He serves on the boards of several companies and is a frequent speaker at business, civic, and writers’ events.

About Pamela Almand

Pamela Almand, a former international 747 pilot for Delta Airlines, launched an unlikely second career after appearing in a national television spot for Tylenol in 1995. Several regional spots for Northwest Airlines followed, and she began narrating training and industry videos, built a professional recording studio, and launched the Captain’s Voice. Since then, Pamela has provided voice-over for major corporate clients worldwide, including Microsoft, Disney, Canadian Realtors, the United Nations, Zurich, International Red Cross, and the hotels and casinos of Monte Carlo. She is a SAG/AFTRA voice actor and audiobook narrator with multiple awards and nominations from the Audio Publishers Association’s Audie Awards, Society of Voice Arts and Sciences’ Voice Arts Awards, and AudioFile magazine’s Earphones Award. She lives in Atlantic Beach, Florida, with her husband, Amos.

What happens next??? Hopefully book 4 is on its way. Wonderful twists and turns for Detectives Lassiter and Martinez and a truly pathological killer with a reckless and evil skills. Natural Causes ends with many unanswered questions.......more

Based on fact police procedural with a clueless psychopath. Well written with “I see it coming” twists some that don’t happen to add interest. Excellent narration. Oh! It is a cliffhanger ending. How disappointing. I dislike spending $$ on those. (Would’ve been a 4 star otherwise).......more

In Depth Very in depth with lots and lots of layers. Didn’t think you could go that far and makes for a great read. The Lisa French is a mean one! I’ll give author the benefit of the doubt on the ending and expect an explosive follow up to Natural Causes......more
