About Jocelyn Dexter

Jocelyn Dexter is the author of Shh. Born in London, she grew up reading the Winnie-the-Pooh series, the Tintin series, and the complete works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie, and Raymond Chandler. Her parents were journalists, and she spent much of her childhood traveling the world. She has a BA in BSL/English Interpreting and, while working as an interpreter, completed an MA in creative writing at Brunel University.

Brilliant and disturbing. Not only was this book ultra disturbing with some unbelievably shocking moments, it was incredibly funny and the book managed to have an extremely touching ending which didn't have a stupid contrived twist, which I had been worried it could have been going in that direction......more

This is my first book by this author. If you are looking for a creepy, page turner, look no further. This story is haunting and disturbing. I really, really did not like the mother. She was absolutely horrible. Reminds me of some people I know unfortunately. Most of the characters are unlikeable..........more
