Max Celebrates Chinese New Year is a good informational book about the Chinese New Year. There's a short story where Max and Lily help prepare for the Chinese New Year, but most of the story gave more information rather than telling a rich story. More than just a cute story, I liked that the book taught us about the foods that bring good luck, how the Chinese New Year is celebrated and featured a biracial family. kiddo and I both enjoyed its simplicity in story and colorful illustrations.......more
