Synopsis

The Master Key System is a personal development book by Charles F. Haanel (1866–1949) that was originally published as a 24-week correspondence course in 1912, and then in book form in 1916.
The ideas it describes and explains come mostly from New Thought philosophy. It was one of the main sources of inspiration for Rhonda Byrne's film and book The Secret
The issue between the old regime and the new, the crux of the social problem, is entirely aquestion of conviction in the minds of the people as to the nature of the Universe. When theyrealize that the transcendent force of spirit or mind of the Cosmos is within each individual, itwill be possible to frame laws that shall consider the liberties and rights of the many insteadof the privileges of the few.As long as the people regard the Cosmic power as a power non human and alien to humanity,so long will it be comparatively easy for a supposed privileged class to rule by Divine rightin spite of every protest of social sentiment. The real interest of democracy is therefore toexalt, emancipate and recognize the divinity of the human spirit. To recognize that all poweris from within. That no human being has any more power than any other human being, exceptsuch as may willingly be delegated to him. The old regime would have us believe that the lawwas superior to the law-makers. Herein is the gist of the social crime of every form of privilegeand personal inequality, the institutionalizing of the fatalistic doctrine of Divine election.

That's one hell of a statement to make! And it's not to say that I will be terribly su......more

"Realize that we are not a body with a spirit, but a spirit with a body." I've read over a hundred books and many articles on the subject of mental/spiritual sciences, and this has to be one of the most complete discourses, touching on virtually every aspect of thought-creation and workings of the L......more

It is not advised to read The Master Key in four days or less but if time is all you have, then why not, with the intention of underlining and highlighting and revisiting time and again. An intriguing read, this book gets the reader thinking, which is the point actually. The author offers 24 in-dept......more

I came to this book after reading 'The Secret'. The best way I can describe this book is to say that 'The Secret' could serve as a back-flap summary of its contents. The profound concepts introduced in 'The Secret' are defined, explored, and put into action in this book (even though it was written m......more
