Synopsis

After Sunita's beloved pet cat, Mittens, gets injured on her watch, she wonders if vet work is right for her. She takes an internship at a research lab, but learns that they test on animals and eventually put them to sleep. Sunita loves animals, but can she find a way to work with them without harming them?

About The Author

Laurie Halse Anderson has received both the Margaret Edwards Award and the ALAN Award for her contributions to young adult literature. She has also been honored by the National Coalition Against Censorship in recognition of her fight to combat the censoring of literature. She is the author of the groundbreaking National Book Award finalist and Printz Honor Book Speak. She is also author of the critically acclaimed YA books PromTwistedCatalystWintergirls, and The Impossible Knife of Memory. Even though some parts were full of emotion and made me feel some type of ways those parts were rare. It is well written just lack of excitement, but that just may be because the book is very short......more
