What I appreciate about this trilogy is the balance of spicy (enough but not too much) and battle scenes described but not lingered on. Cara finds a good balance between incorporating folklore with her own interpretation / fantasy. In all, the books are a fluid, engaging, and entertaining read.......more

Maybe it's bc if my history with high fantasy but I was a lil sad the big bad battle at the end wasn't as big and bad as I was hoping I really enjoyed the characters though, they had these experiences and then we are able to see the lasting effects they have......more
