About Angie Alape Pérez

Angie Alape Pérez was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. She grew up drawing on every cardboard box around her, making all kinds of nonexistent worlds to play in with her siblings. Now a freelance illustrator, Angie has worked on picture books, textbooks, and social campaigns (including Save the Children in Colombia) and has designed characters for 3D animation and web magazines. In her spare time, you can find her petting her adopted dogs and looking for places to enjoy a nice meal on the weekend.

I’ve come to really appreciate ethnic diversity (or primarily brown skin, given the location of Biblical events) in children’s Bibles. And this one fell short in that representation, despite the image on the cover. The inclusion of art from kids around the world was a cool idea, but not my favorite......more

This book is wonderful. For me I've always had trouble understanding the Bible. When I started to read it, I was able to watch church and I understood what the Preacher was talking about. The pictures were very colorful. The drawings that the children did were cute.......more
