I'm not sure how you can write a "light" novel about cancer and a failing marriage, but somehow that's what the author pulls off in Life and Other Near Death Experiences. It's all a bit predictable. If you like a mildly humorous, light read.... This book is about a woman who learns she has cancer (chapter 1) on the same day her husband tells her he's gay (chapter 2).
