Synopsis

“Omg!! This was just such a pleasure to read, in a dark and twisted way! It's such a breath of fresh air and so original… starts with a bang and never lets up… Amazing.” Reader review, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

From the Sunday Times and international bestselling author of Ragdoll, comes a heart-in-your-mouth unputdownable thriller that will keep you up all night!

They call him the Jackdaw. On each body, he leaves a chilling signature: five scratches. And each time he kills, he takes a trophy, an eerie collection that grows with every strike.

No one knows what he looks like, where he'll strike next, or why. He could be your neighbour, your boss… your husband. There’s only a paralysing fear that, whoever he is, he's out there: watching, waiting.

Detective Scarlett Delaney’s neck prickles every time she hears the name Jackdaw. And now she’s been tasked with hunting him down before he kills again. But as she ventures deeper into a murky world of half-truths and clever lies, chasing the scant clues that Jackdaw leaves behind, Scarlett realises she isn't just hunting a killer. She's on his list.

Soon the lines between prey and predator begin to blur, and Scarlett discovers that trusting those around her might be her final, deadly mistake…

A totally gripping crime thriller with an AMAZING twist. If you loved Thirteen by Steve Cavanagh, The Chain by Adrian McKinty or anything by Jennifer Hillier you will race through Jackdaw.

4.5 stars Matthew Lewis’ job is to monitor and remove offensive social media (he’s a job and a half there) when he finds some horrifying images which sadly, are not the first. This is the infamous Jackdaw Killer and gruesome doesn’t quite cover it. Three murders, a unique signature and an aptly chos......more

I'm probably not alone when I got quite excited to see new Daniel Cole, having loved the Ragdoll series. However Jackdaw is simply not in the same class. At first it gives the impression of being in the same genre of thriller - quite gory with unnerving undertones of something truly sinister - but th......more

I powered through this crime novel. An interesting twist on the serial killer themed books. I really liked it. It’s got pace and plenty to hold your interest from start to finish. No slow boring bits (hurrah!). I finished this at 5 in the morning! I had to finish it. Daniel Cole (Author of Ragdoll a......more

Jackdaw is het eerste deel in een nieuwe serie van Daniel Cole. Je kunt deze auteur kennen van de Ragdoll trilogie en zijn andere boek Mimic.
