I got this audio short story free here. "It Washed Up" was like the Pied Piper, except a.) a weird seaweed monster, b.) playing a harmonica, and c.) taking anyone who can hear, for no real reason. Another great story in this anthology. A re imagining of the pied piper of hamelin with a lot of lovecraftian elements thrown in. Lansdale manages to marry a bonkers plot, folklore, jazz and the concept of a 'dead city' to humorous and sometimes bizarre and disquieting effect. The mood and atmospher......more
