Synopsis

"“Expect to be spellbound”* by Patricia Briggs’s #1 New York Times bestselling series starring Mercy Thompson. Being a lowly “walker” in a world of vampires, werewolves, and fae once kept her safe. But Mercy’s bark—and bite—are not so harmless any more…

Though Mercy can shift her shape into that of a coyote, her loyalty never wavers. So when her former boss and mentor, Zee, asks for her help, she’s there for him. A series of murders has rocked a fae reservation, and Zee needs her unique gifts, namely her coyote sense of smell, to sniff out the killer.

But when Zee is accused of murdering the suspect Mercy outed, he’s left to rot behind bars by his own kind. Now it’s up to Mercy to clear his name, whether he wants her to or not.

Mercy’s loyalty is under pressure from other directions, too. Werewolves are not known for their patience, and if Mercy can’t decide between the two she cares for, Sam and Adam may make the choice for her...

Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!"

About Patricia Briggs

Montana born author, Patricia Briggs, has worked her way into a very successful author of fantasy novels. She chose to live mostly in the Pacific Northwest which is not typically the hotbed of authors, but she has managed to live a quieter life and still become a New York Times bestselling author. Her most famous series, Mercy Thompson and the Columbia Basin Pack, we're fictional residents of the area in which she resides, the Tri-Cities Washington.

From 1990 on, Briggs has published 17 novels beginning with traditional fantasy, then in 2006 moving to urban fantasy. A unique mark of her novels is that even in a series, each novel can serve as a stand-alone story without leaving the reader to wonder what happens next.

Briggs also writes the Alpha and Omega series, and they are set in the same environment as the Mercy Thomas series. The most recent of that series debuted in 2012, and came in at #4 on the NYT bestsellers list.

Briggs still lives in Washington state with her husband and children. They have a small herd of horses that they enjoy.

I fucking cried like a big baby made of baby tears and the only down side to this whole novel was the very last sentence. Don't think she was ready for that step AT ALL but still... Someone give me a hug! *runs off to cry some more*......more

#3 in my 2020 Mercy Thompson reread! Review first posted on Fantasy Literature: Patricia Briggs, who has explored werewolf and vampire societies in the first two volumes of her MERCY THOMPSON urban fantasy series, turns her attention to fae society in this third volume. In the second book, Blood Bou......more

So this series just keeps getting more and more intense. And in such unexpected ways. I love it when an author has the ability (and the guts) to slip in a real shocker without compromising her characters or the story as a whole. In a series, that's particularly hard to do without making it seem like......more

Read first time-> December 21, 2010 It's difficult to write a review on a book you have read so many times. The first time I read it was in 2010 and to this day, Iron Kissed is still one of my favorite books. In Iron Kissed, Mercy will have to help Zee who has been imprisoned by the humans after find......more
