About Tom Alan

Tom Alan was born in London to Irish parents, one from the north, one from the south. He caught his parents’ wanderlust; as a primary school teacher, he has taught in the UK, Kuwait, Japan and (currently) Spain. Tom Alan is his pen name for fiction writing. His first novel (Hitting the Jackpot) is the story of Cindy and Jack, a pair of millennial, gig-economy workers who are in the middle of divorcing. Tom plays tennis and squash and enjoys photographing weird and wonderful Spanish fiestas.

The first book I finished on my new Kindle! (yayyyy thanks Amy). Honestly all I wanted was a light and easy English comedy novel, and this fit the bill. I felt like 2 stars would be harsh as this book, in a word, was 'fine'. I doubt that's what the author was going for but that's exactly what it is.
