Synopsis

How the World's Great Music Can Inspire Your Heart and Your Health
More than 2,000 years ago, the Greek philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras suggested that the human soul could be perfected through sublimely composed music. Today this astonishing concept has come true in clinics and hospitals, where sound is used as medicine to treat the body and mind.
On Healing with Great Music, you will explore the phenomenal effects of sound on human physiology. Don Campbell, author of The Mozart Effect, unveils new insights about the layer of information within music that does not necessarily meet the ear, yet has profound implications for enhancing health and intelligence.
Offering both clinical evidence and spiritual insights, Campbell examines how different forms of music influence healing, learning, relaxation states, and creativity. Complete with examples and exercises you can try yourself, Healing with Great Music invites you to orchestrate a balanced, more harmonious life through the magic of sound.
