Greek Classics: Persephone (Easy Classics)

Persephone, the Goddess of Spring Growth, has disappeared, and her mother, Demeter, is heartbroken. As the Goddess of the Harvest, Demeter’s job is to make sure that farm crops grow healthily. While searching for her daughter, however, she ignores her work. Crops begin to die. Animals and people begin to starve. Meanwhile Persephone is in the last place anyone would think to look, with the last God anyone would think to ask.
