Now that Clara is almost in third grade, she’s finally old enough to spend her first summer away from home visiting her grandma, Unci, and her cousin at their home in Standing Rock Reservation. This book was beautiful and educational! I enjoyed the Author's Note at the end, too. If considering for a read-aloud, I think this would be better for upper elementary (grades 4 and 5) since there's a lot packed into it. Lovely illustrations!......more
