Synopsis

It’s been months since the ghost of Anna Korlov opened a door to Hell in her basement and disappeared into it, but ghost-hunter Cas Lowood can’t move on. His friends remind him that Anna sacrificed herself so that Cas could live—not walk around half dead, pining for her. He knows they’re right, but in Cas’ eyes, no living girl he meets can compare with the dead girl he fell in love with. Now he’s seeing Anna everywhere: sometimes when he’s asleep and sometimes in waking nightmares. But something is very wrong ... these aren’t just daydreams. Anna seems tortured, torn apart in new and ever more gruesome ways every time she appears. Cas doesn’t know what happened to Anna when she disappeared into Hell, but he knows she doesn’t deserve whatever is happening to her now. Anna saved Cas more than once, and it’s time for him to return the favor.

"It's probably going to be blood," Thomas says in a regretful tone that doesn't match the devious excitement in his eyes. "It's almost always about blood." If your dead, ghostly girlfriend sacrificed herself for you, you'd hope she'd at least finally be at peace, right? But it turns out poor Anna......more

I'd bitched, moaned, and complained about Anna Dressed in Blood. I gave it 2.5 stars. I asked for more. You read my mind. And you fucking gave it to me. If anyone were......more

The following book has been found in an abandoned, run-down house along with a body, a pen, and a worn and tattered copy of Girl of Nightmares.  The walls have many words and phrases written in blood. It's contents provide the only clues to the events that led to the the death of a person and an incr......more

This is one example of a book I would read for the cover alone. Heck, slap this cover on a 9000 page Spanish history book, and I will read it ALL! Even though I don't know Spanish >.< Luckily, what's inside this cover is just as incredible as the outside and will leave you equally spellbound! It was......more

Quotes

“This satisfying sequel to Anna Dressed in Blood (2011) believably advances the story while introducing a new clan of ghost killers with decidedly different philosophies on how to lay the dead to rest. Blake excels in creepy, atmospheric landscapes, and her description of the Suicide Forest will make neck hairs rise.”  Booklist

“Pulse-pounding thrills leavened with laughter.” Kirkus Reviews
