Synopsis

Murder, magic, and a mouthy witness. Welcome to my case file. The victim is unrecognisable, pulverised so badly that even magic cannot tell me who they were. As Chester’s only magical Detective Inspector, I handle the cases the Common police cannot touch. This one screams Other Realm from the moment I find a caged bird at the scene, a bird that talks. My feathered “witness” is foul-mouthed, fond of creative insults, and claims to know exactly who killed our victim. Whether he is telling the truth or just trying to get under my skin, I can't afford to ignore him. Then Krieg, the King of Ogres, muscles into the investigation. He is powerful, political, and far too distracting for my liking. With magical factions bristling, a killer still at large, and a witness who never shuts up, I will need to draw on all my training and my rare magical abilities to close this case.Justice is my duty. Catching the killer is my priority. Surviving the week is optional.

It's a fun novella in the Portlock Paranormal Detective Series! Bunny and Conner are trying to host a peaceful and fun, dare I say a perfect Christmas party that keeps getting interrupted. At only 80 pages, I breezed through this one happily. I really can't wait until the next book!......more

Portlock, Alaska, becomes a warm and fuzzy Christmas town for the supernatural residents it harbors. Bunny, Connor, Gunnar, Sigrid, Sidney, Stan, and the rest of the gang get together at Gunnar's house. Much sneaking around has been done to acquire the most appropriate presents for everyone. Bunny de......more

For someone who doesn’t like holiday-themed stories, I’ve sure been reading a lot. But what is a reader supposed to do when her favorite authors write them? LOL! Anyway, two Bunny stories came out right together and I was so darn excited to be back with Bunny. She’s such a vulnerable yet strong char......more

Literally what the title says a ‘Cosy Christmas’ read! A great little novella set in Portlock with our favourite residents! I loved the references to the differences between a UK Christmas and one in Portlock. Bunny is on call this Christmas and not all is what it seems! There is trouble afoot even du......more
