Synopsis

Compared to life on tour with her wannabe rock star mother, finishing high school in the dull town of Rye is a snooze. At least Roxy has her best friend, Zoë, a second chance with her dad, and her constant companion: music.Jag Monroe is Roxy's total opposite: stinking rich, conceited, and hot in that obvious kind of way. When he breaks ranks and randomly friends her on Instagram, Roxy’s sure it's a joke.Resolved to avoid trouble, she ignores his request and he ignores her in class that week, but he friends her again on Friday. Then, Zoë does the unthinkable: snatches Roxy's phone and accepts his request."Blades delivers a light, appealing story of unlikely romance and particular chemistry. Readers will easily relate to their contemporary predicaments and shared love of music." -Publisher's Weekly BookLife Prize Critical Review

A lot of the lingo was incorrect, the characters were lame and fake-deep, and it all just felt very childish. Plus, don't even get me started......more

My over all feelings on this book: Eh. There was a lot more cursing than I would’ve liked and it got SUPER cheesy. But I kind of like cheesy, and I thought Jagger could be pretty cute at times. There’s not much for me to say other than that. I liked some of the song references, although the music I l......more

A fairly decent, but quite angsty, YA romance with a happy ending. I was surprised to discover (advertised at the very end of this book) that the author has written a sequel to this novel. She presents the romance in this book as two soulmates who are a love for the ages, and she actually sells that......more
