James Maxwell grew up in the scenic Bay of Islands, New Zealand, and was educated in Australia. Wanted to like it but in the end it was just way too generic. I kind of felt like the author just took a bunch of things that worked in other fantasy books and then just adapted them to his story. It was very easy to lose interest and I did for the most part, hence the poor rating.......more
