Synopsis

What do you do when you find yourself without your right hand?

Pain and Agony have proven time and time again that their dysfunctional duo works. The perilous partners can handle anything together. But now they're going solo . . .

. . . and they're about to find out how much they've come to rely on each other.

When Agony is spirited to the middle of nowhere, things get dicey for them both. The dangers are not contained to the glittering city lights. Some old scores can never be forgotten.

Our tenacious twosome did just fine by themselves before they ran into each other, but the world has changed, and they can't go back to the way things were before they met.

They'll need more than their usual shoot first, ask questions later tactics to get through this in one piece, and reunite.

Can the pugnacious pair survive a frantic search and a breakneck investigation that will test them to the edge of their will and sanity?

By and large, I enjoyed them, though since the theme is war, they had a penchant for getting a bit heavy. That's not necessarily bad, but it does mean that I needed to take some breaks......more

A very diverse take on a simple theme. Some great stories in there.......more

This anthology was well written. Each story was written from the perspectives of different species and how war affects them all differently.......more
