Dirty Dozen

This is one of the rare books where I went from the movie to the book. I liked the movie: but I would not have, had I read the book before. I read this many years ago. It's one of those that still hangs around after many reprintings. That speaks well of a novel. E.M. Nathanson's The Dirty Dozen is remembered, if it all, for inspiring the classic film with Lee Marvin and a rogue's gallery of tough guy stars.
