Synopsis

Time passes… but some things are never truly lost.

In Delaying Is Not Forgetting, Hans Christian Andersen delivers a thoughtful and quietly profound tale about memory, responsibility, and the passage of time.

Through a simple yet symbolic narrative, Andersen explores the idea that postponement does not erase obligation—and that what we leave behind has a way of returning to us. With his signature blend of gentle storytelling and deeper meaning, this story invites listeners to reflect on patience, intention, and the weight of unfinished things.

Beautifully narrated by Kali Newcomb, this short but meaningful work offers a calm, introspective listening experience for both children and adults.

Subtle, reflective, and timeless, Delaying Is Not Forgetting reminds us that time may pass—but meaning remains.

About Hans Christian Andersen

Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen (1805–1875) originally trained as a singer and actor, but he gained fame with his fairy tales, which were not meant merely for children but for adults as well. Andersen frequently used a colloquial style that disguises the sophisticated moral teachings of his tales. Many of Andersen's fairy tales depict characters who gain happiness in life after suffering and enduring conflicts. "The Ugly Duckling" and "The Little Mermaid" are Andersen's most intimate works. A playwright and novelist as well as the author of children's tales, Andersen publications include the novels The Improvisatore and Only a Fiddler, as well as his personal memoirs, The Fairy Tale of My Life.
