I picked up the first book at a bookstore on my very first trip abroad and loved it. So I'm surprised that I didn't pick darkthaw up sooner even if only for sentimental reasons. The book isn't something brilliant, it lacks the freshness of Winterkill but it was a good read. I think I'm a bit too old......more
