Synopsis

Danny uses a computer that Professor Bulfinch has created for NASA to prepare his homework, despite Professor Bullfinch's warning that Danny is to leave the machine alone. With his friend Joe Pearson and his new neighbor, Irene Miller, Danny has some success with the machine before it is sabotaged. Danny figures out what is wrong with the machine and corrects the problem. Danny's teacher also learns about the machine, and has her ideas for the Homework Champions...

About Jay Williams

Jay Williams is a former professional basketball player and current ESPN analyst. While at Duke, he won the Naismith College Player of the Year Award, was named the AP Player of the Year in 2002, and was a unanimous first-team All-American. He was drafted by the Chicago Bulls as the second overall pick in the 2002 NBA draft. He is a motivational speaker, president of the JW Group, managing partner of the Leverage Agency, and a committed member of a number of charities.

This is a "golden-oldie" SBS book! It was published in 1958! So fascinating to see how people related to the very first computers, which took up a whole room! The in-home kind was probably a fantasy at that time!......more

I loved Danny Dunn books when I was young. I just read this one to my three youngest and it was a hit! They kept begging for one more chapter every time I read. I'm not sure how much of the science they got, but they sure loved it when Irene pushed Snitcher in the mud puddle! :-)......more
