She must cope with the presence of her irritating—but irresistible—ex-husband, Jake. About Nora Roberts

Author, Nora Roberts was born Eleanor Marie Robertson, on October 10, 1950 in Silver Spring, Maryland. For more than three decades Roberts has published more than 200 titles in the romantic novel category. She wrote her first story during the blizzard of 1979, when she was snowed in at her home. The first novel, Irish Thoroughbred, was published just two years later. Then, the next two years brought 23 more published novels, and she finally caught the public's eye in 1985. That last novel, "Playing the Odds" gave Roberts a "fan favorite" status and transformed the romance novel category.

Roberts has two sons by her first marriage, and married her second husband, Bruce Wilder, in 1985. From 1991 to 2001, all 68 novels she published made it onto the New York Times best seller list. In 2000 alone she had 13 best sellers, several making it into number one. She also writes futuristic romantic suspense under the pen name of J.D. Robb. Many of her novels have been adapted into TV movies. She was inducted into the Romance Writers of America Hall of Fame on 1986. She currently owns the Inn at BoonsBoro in Boonsboro, Maryland. The suites are each inspired by and for romantic couples from books. FYI......she has a fear of flying and is an ardent baseball fan.

The quality of the plot in both plausibility and construction was superb, as was character development and the integration of the characters with one another. The backdrop for the story was interresting and creative and allowed for a complex plot with plenty of room for some very interresting characters and sub-plots. The quality of the ending, in the context of plausibility and credible development, especially when compared to the rest of the book was a real let down. Reading this book was like having a wonderful multicourse meal at a 4 star resturant, only to have the desert wind up being lime jello in a paper cup with a plastic spoon.

I love the way Nora Roberts varies the chartacters and their occupations - this one is an archeologist and her research always shows in her stories. This was a great read!

This is another one of my favorite Nora Roberts books, which I say about most of the books of hers that I review. But with her having written so many, it makes sense to have a lot of favorites. Regardless, this is a favorite, though I know more than a few fans didn't care for this one. I enjoyed it......more

I knew that twist in the end was coming! God, this is another stellar work from Nora Roberts. I legit can't stop myself from reading her books now. They're so freaking readable. The subject in this though, again, every parent's nightmare. It almost costed me a few tears here and there. It didn't exact......more

I definitely recommend checking out the audio for this book! I do want to say I expected a plot heavy on the archeology, but that's really only the backdrop for a larger mystery surrounding the heroine and her past. But I had a lot of fun with this! The end definitely got very dramatic and so fun. T......more
