After retiring from the United States Air Force in 1992 and from the Boy Scouts of America in 2009, Walt Deecki Sr., began writing stories inspired by his own childhood and that of his four children and grandchildren and the endless number of youth that came into his life while working as an Assistant Director of a Before and After School Program, and as a teacher's assistant. All the characters in his books encompass their personalities. He believes that Children are God's most precious gift.
