A family friend named John comes to visit, and Akimbo is impressed because John is a crocodile expert and has a project with with Akimbo can assist him. This is a very nice adventure story which taught me a bit about crocodiles. I will definitely read the other Akimbo books!......more
Alexander McCall Smith writes so clevely about Bertie in 44 Scotland Street that I thought I would try one of his children's books to see if they would be as delightful as the books for adults. Sorry to say it was a pretty mundane story with none of the Smith pizzazz. Kristi & Abby Tabby......more
