Synopsis

Today, Edgar Wallace (1875 - 1932)  is mostly remembered for his role in the creation of King Kong. However, he was an extremely prolific writer, and is still on the list of the best selling fiction writers of all time. During the First World War, he entertained British readers with satirical first person narratives about a completely inept German agent called Heine. The following story was first published in Thomson's Weekly News, Dundee, Scotland, Feb 16, 1918.The story is narrated by Michael Henrik Wynn, the editor of the educational net radio stream Historyradio.org.

Author Bio

Edgar Wallace (1875–1932) was a prolific British crime writer, journalist, and playwright who wrote 175 novels, twenty-four plays, and countless articles in newspapers and journals. Over 160 films have been made of his novels, which is more than any other author. He is most famous today as the cocreator of King Kong, writing the early screenplay and story for the movie.
