Chitra Soundar is originally from India, where as a child she feasted on folktales and stories from Hindu mythology. She is the author of the picture book Pattan’s Pumpkin: A Traditional Flood Story from Southern India, illustrated by Frané Lessac. She currently lives in London.

Uma Krishnaswamy is the illustrator of several books for children, including Chitra Soundar's Mangoes, Mischief, and Tales of Friendship, and has always loved the folk traditions of India for their richness and vibrancy of color, form, and perspective. She lives in Chennai, India.

Deepti Gupta is an Audie award-winning narrator and actress based in Los Angeles. Fluent in Hindi and Urdu, her career spans across India, Singapore, Pakistan, and the United States. She has earned praise from The New York Times for her performance in the feature film Walkaway.
