Synopsis
Burton Leon Reynolds Jr. (February 11, 1936 - September 6, 2018) was an American actor who became well known in the tv series Gunsmoke, Hawk and Dan August, before breaking out as a movie star in the 1970s and 80s, starting with his role as Lewis Medlock in Deliverance (1972). He later returned to television, in the sitcom Evening Shade (1990–1994), which won him a Golden Globe Award and Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. In 1997, Reynolds gained renewed critical attention for his performance in the movie Boogie Nights, earning him the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor and a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award nomination. The following recording includes three interviews from the early 1970s.
