Synopsis

Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963) was an English writer and philosopher. He was best known for his novels Brave New World and The Doors of Perception. Earlier in his career Huxley edited the Oxford Poetry magazine wrote travel articles, film stories, and scripts. He later became interested in spiritual subjects such as parapsychology and philosophical mysticism, including universalism. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature in seven different years.This is a recording is part of part of a speech where he describes Brave New World, and George Orwell's Animal Farm.

Aldous Huxley (1894-1963) is the author of the classic novels Brave New World, Eyeless in Gaza, and The Genius and the Goddess, as well as such critically acclaimed nonfiction works as The Devils of Loudun, The Perennial Philosophy, and The Doors of Perception. Born in Surrey, England, and educated at Oxford, he died in Los Angeles, California.

En interesant analyse af hans syns på hvordan fremtidige diktaturer primært vil bruge videnskabelige midler til at sikre sig sine undersåtters støtte, frem for rå vold, og en sammenligning mellem Fagre nye verden og 1984.
